The original pic shot two Vietnamese prostitutes. The background (degradation
& poverty) has been replaced with a dark grey wall (like in a fair).
Jewels have been accentuated, cleaned. A light swelling has been taken
off from the girl's face, which is now without any wrinkle. Little
improvements everywhere, aimed to rejuvenate & beautify, as the less
stressed vains on hands. Woman's (not girl's) features have been lightly
"westernized": with less large nostrils and a smaller mouth.
Even the eye-cut is now wider. Releavant modifies are even clothing'
ones; the woman's belly is now covered. The girl's behaviour, in the
original pic, reveals her job: we can notice both hands upon a purse,
fastened with a chain. The "shoulder belt" is now a
shoulder-strap, as the left one, hidden by a lock of hair. The chain has
been removed and the t-shirt extended, hiding a not properly flat tummy,
modifying the substancial aspect. Now her hands, in that position, with
the lowered shirt, don't exclude she's holding something, but make she
appear in a nearly shy-childish behaviour.
The visual impact is deeply different: from the starting degradation to
a possible couple mom-daughter, in a beauty contest backstage...
